Long Time, No News

If you can't tell, I'm not the best blogger on the block. We have been sick with one thing or another around here. It would appear to have finally left our family. Not before the 2 youngest got sick again, of course. Let's hope that I don't end up with the nasty they had. Icky.

I'm in my final week of school. Sort of mind boggling to say the least. I never thought that I'd finish something like this. It's been hard and I've shoved it all down my throat as best as I could. Now, I'm getting ready to take my finals and turn in my final assignments. Everything is due by the 21st. *gasp* I'm shocked! Just because I'm about to graduate doesn't mean anything is slowing down around here though.

Let's see here... Tuesday, I graduate. Well, almost. Final work is due, I won't actually know until the following Monday if I passed everything. Wednesday, my son goes in to be tested by the local charter school for placement. We've been homeschooling him. I'm still not sure if I will enroll him into the school though. Everyone wants me to. But I don't know if I want to. That is the most important consideration here. It won't hurt to have him tested though. Thursday, get the kids packed and off to Grandma and Grandpa's. Pack hubby and me. Fly out that evening for VEGAS!! *grin* We'll be back by Saturday afternoon though. Stupid airlines were all sold out for Sunday. *sigh* I'm going to try and talk my in-laws into keeping the kids for one more night though.

Then, the REAL work begins. Maybe... The doctors think I might have a Spigelian hernia. Oh, grand. It's submuscular, so it can only be truly found by digital imaging. But it sure hurts to push right there! So, maybe tests for me and possible surgery. Grand. Then I have to start testing for jobs, provided I passed. I'm pretty sure I will, but I'm still nervous about it. I had a VERY hard time there for 3 weeks and didn't get quite as many reports done as I should have. This last week will make or break me. Isn't that great? No stress there, none. *gack* Then there's our small business. It's really small... But it's a lot of fun! www.quilted-dreams.com if you're interested. We sell really beautiful hand dyed fabrics for quilters. What's better than that? Well, only if they're a great price, right? Guess what?! We keep our prices really low. Well, as low as we can anyway. So, I'm hoping to get a lot of pictures posted and get that going more.

I'm also hoping to "adopt a missionary." Figure I should do my part to further the good Lord's work. I know I'm not cut out to go and spread His word to foreign countries. But I can help raise some money for those that enjoy such things. It's a no brainer who I would pick... It's my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They're currently in Turkey doing amazing things. You don't exactly make a lot of money being a missionary, so I figured I could possibly help raise some money to further their work. So, I'm going to include a donation button and a separate page on our site where all purchases will go towards their mission. I think that's a great thing to support, don't you?

So, I'm trying to relax a little bit before I have to face my school work this evening. I will crunch down here soon and hopefully crank out a minimum of 4 hours of work. I can actually get a lot done in 4 hours. So, let's hope I can zip right along tonight and get most of it done.

I'm outta here for now! I can't wait until I'm finished and can pretend to have time on my hands... Did you know I have 3 boys? *laughing*
