Learning to Fly... Again.

How many of you have heard of FlyLady? It's a free online program that teaches you how to overcome clutter in your home. At the same time, it makes you feel better about yourself. www.flylady.com if you're interested.

This is now the third time I have tried this program. I do okay for a few weeks and then POOF! I explode and revert back to my old ways. Strangely enough, she has you start out by shining your sink. Then you have to keep it clean from here on out. Did you know it's that silly kitchen sink that 'sinks' me every time? I have a very hard time keeping it clean and shining. Of course, as soon as I slip there, it's easy to slip everywhere!

This time, I also ordered the timer so it can go with me around the house as I do my little jobs. You do as much as you can in a specific spot for 15 minutes. When the time is up, that's it! Move on. Did you know you can actually fold and put away a load of laundry in 15 minutes? And no, we don't have a small family. There are 6 of us. Just so you know.

I have also been wanting the beautiful feather dusters their store carries. They're made out of ostrich feathers. Neat, huh? I was a little shocked at the price, but I don't like dusting. Why not pay a little extra for a fun feather duster that actually makes dusting easier? Goodness, what a concept. *smile* I bought both the small one and the larger one. The large one is supposed to be really good for reaching fans, tops of pictures, the baseboards. You know, everywhere you tend not to dust because they're hard to reach. Neat, huh? We now have 2 long haired dogs. I think I need all the help I can get just to get their hair off of everything. Well, only one has long hair right now, but the other pup will be right there with her soon!

I just wanted to share my new adventure. Maybe if I have to keep track of how I'm doing, I'll keep it up. You know. That fear everyone has of failing in front of other people? If it helps me keep going and get my house clean and clutter free, then I figure it's a good deal.

With that said, I'm off to go shine my sink.
